Monday, March 13
Perry Bacon, Jr. Inside Political Reporting in the Era of Tribalism, Trump & Twitter

Up first will be journalist Perry Bacon, Jr. NBC News Senior Political Reporter, who has been an eyewitness to and reporter of the dynamic events in American politics since 2002. “Inside Political Reporting in the Era of Tribalism, Trump, & Twitter.” He will share his fascinating insights from his unique vantage point as a political observer of American politics and history with Congressman John Yarmuth, a friend since Perry’s days as a kid dreaming big.

Lifestyle expert and Louisville native Elizabeth Mayhew has taken her career from growing up in Louisville to the national spotlight, where she is a contributing editor for NBC’s Today and a popular monthly columnist for the Washington Post, and Brand Editor of Reese Witherspoon’s southern-inspired brand Draper James.

Please join us on Wednesday, August 23 to discover how growing up in Kentucky infused Elizabeth with the creativity and passion to become successful as a national design leader and how her Kentucky roots continue to inspire her and help shape her career.

Peter Byck

Join us for our third event, which features Peter Byck, director, producer and writer of the acclaimed film “Carbon Nation” and faculty at Arizona State University. Byck has met and collaborated with the leading minds from the worlds of climate, clean energy, military applications and land use. Peter will provide insights on how—and why—he became a passionate advocate for soil health and research, and a proponent for dealing with global climate change—even for those who don’t believe it.


2016 Speaker Series Calendar of Events

First up will be three outstanding sisters whose careers have taken them down paths from women’s health to civil rights to beauty. Talk about girl power!

Our summer presentation will showcase three powerful men—Dan Roth, Executive Editor of LinkedIn; Evan Roth, a financial powerhouse; and Junior Bridgeman, an entrepreneurial superstar and former pro-ball player–in a rare live-audience podcast!

In the fall, we round out the year with Jon Carloftis, a landscape designer whose celebrated reputation as a pioneer in the field exceeds not only Kentucky’s boundaries, but the nation’s as well.

All events include a one-hour reception with our guests followed by a program. Tickets are $25 and include appetizers from Wiltshire Pantry, water and soft drinks.There is also a cash bar.
