Kentucky to the World presents Louisville native Dr. Sander Florman, a national transplant expert who will share his journey from University of Louisville Medical School to rebuilding the transplant program in post-Katrina New Orleans to running one of the most successful transplant centers in the country.
Courier-Journal health reporter Laura Ungar will moderate the event. In addition to Dr. Florman’s personal journey, the conversation will cover pressing issues and misconceptions surrounding organ transplants today in ways that everyone can understand.
The event will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at The Henry Clay, 604
S 3rd St. A reception at 5:30 p.m. will be catered by Wiltshire Pantry.
