The event will be moderated by journalist Kirby Adams and will feature all three sisters sharing stories about growing up in Kentucky, and how their individual professions and passions have brought them love and togetherness in unexpected ways.
Dr. Rebecca Booth, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist, entrepreneur, author and journalist. She earned her BGS from University of Kentucky and MD from University of Louisville School of Medicine and wrote The Venus Week: Discover the Powerful Secret of Your Cycle At Any Age in 2008.
Included in Dr. Booth’s book is a look at how estrogen peaks for seven days in a woman’s cycle and causes more luminous skin. This knowledge inspired the creation of Beauty Booth, LLC, the company that she co-founded with her sister Ms. Cecil Booth. Their company’s breakthrough anti-aging skincare line is VENeffect®, which as New York Magazine states, “Using plant-based estrogens, the products help increase hyaluronic acid production, boost collagen, and improve elasticity. As complicated as it sounds, the line of moisturizers, and eye and lip treatments leave skin noticeably smoother, brighter, and softer.”
Ms. Cecil Booth is president of Beauty Booth, LLC. Her career spans 20 years in the area of marketing and global strategy within the beauty industry, as well as management at a Fortune 500 global beauty company. Having extensively studied the skincare market, Ms. Booth has an understanding of consumer needs as well as a personal passion for the beauty category. She earned a BA from the University of Kentucky and an MA in advertising from Northwestern University.
Their sister Lady Booth Olson is an attorney living in Virginia. She formerly practiced tax law in New York and Louisville, and most recently has been actively involved in the marriage equality movement along with husband Ted Olson. Together, they were involved from the start of the landmark Perry case, which challenged Proposition 8 in California. She earned her BS from the University of Kentucky, JD from Georgetown University Law Center and an LLM Law degree in taxation from NYU.
The event will include complimentary appetizers from Wiltshire Pantry and a cash bar. Guests can purchase tickets for this exclusive event and learn more about the series at www.kentuckytotheworld.org. No tickets will be sold at the door.
