Kentucky: The New Narrative (TNN) is a fresh initiative that will share many more stories of men and women who are passionate about their Kentucky ties, and whose talents are having an impact around the world.  We capture video conversations about how their Kentucky roots have enabled their success.

These brief documentary-style videos, presented at KTW Community Partner locations and online, greatly expand our ability to reach many more people than just those who can attend our live events.

Through our new relationships with Community Partners, you’ll be able to see KTW video stories of even more inspiring individuals as you explore various locations around the city.  Currently, our Community Partners include the Frazier Museum, Omni Hotel, The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts, Kentucky Science Center, Louisville Tourism, Insider Louisville, and the Kentucky Travel Industry Association.

Ahead of our March 2018 program with Nobel Laureate Dr. Phillip Sharp, our video duo flew to Boston to film an interview with him in his lab at MIT in the building named for him. Those videos on our website and social media allowed literally thousands of people to meet Dr. Sharp before he even stepped onto the stage!

If we can get more of these amazing stories out into the state and beyond, we will increase by thousands the number of people who will value Kentucky as a rich source of intellectual vitality and creativity.

We want Kentucky’s reputation to be shaped by the impact of the extraordinary people with Kentucky ties rather than by the old stereotypes.
