Jennifer Carpenter is recognized for the broad range of roles she has taken in her career. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, she would eventually study drama at Juilliard in New York City. After getting her break in The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Carpenter would go on to land high-profile roles in both film and television. Premiering in 2006, she played the role she would become best known for: Debra Morgan in Showtime’s Dexter. Since then, she has appeared in films like Quarantine and shows that include Limitless and The Enemy Within.
