Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Thomas began his career as a golfer at an early age. His father is a golf pro, giving him access to a mentor from the outset. As a sophomore at Saint Xavier High School, he played in the PGA Tour’s Wyndham Championship with an impressive outing. Four years later in 2013, Thomas became a professional golfer and began competing in the top competitions. Just one year after he declared his entry into professional golfing, he won the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship. His career has only gained momentum since then. In 2017, he achieved five PGA Tour victories, one of which was his first Major victory at the PGA Championship.

This Major victory would thrust Thomas into the highest tier of golfers. Only golfing legends Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, and Jordan Spieth managed to win five PGA events and a major in a single season under the age of 25. His accomplishments in his relatively short career include: the most wins of any player on tour currently under 30 years old; Official World Number One for four weeks in a row; a FedEx Championship; and becoming only the seventh player in PGA Tour history to shoot a 59. In this capacity, he became the youngest player to shoot a sub-60 round. His achievements have resulted in him being designated as PGA Tour Player of the Year and also a promotion to the U.S. President’s Cup team. At this point, he is proving his potential through hard work and success on the fairway.
