Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Laura Schwab developed an advanced business acumen as early as her high school years at Sacred Heart Academy. After going on to graduate from Notre Dame with her bachelor’s degree she pursued a law degree at the University of Kentucky where her self-discipline and scholarly curiosity led to academic excellence.

As a fresh law school graduate from the University of Kentucky, she worked in a variety of positions here and in the U.K. before becoming the first female president of Aston Martin The Americas. The storied British company is best known for being featured in James Bond films in the 1960s and 70s, and the reputation for luxury and chic aesthetics has continued. Through Schwab’s vision, Aston Martin has increased its market share through an ambitious global expansion plan. As the company’s president, Schwab was responsible for promotion, marketing and sales for North America.

In November 2020, she stepped down from her role as president at Aston Martin. Choosing to continue to lead in the automotive industry, she now is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Rivian, an electronic vehicle manufacturer.
