Sean Cannon began his career on the internet. As a critic, writer, and prominent podcaster of all things music related, Cannon has built his legacy in the digital space. Getting his break at Louisville Public Media while anchoring the program “After Dark,” he generated a following of younger listeners. Channeling this digital prowess, he became WFPL’s senior digital strategist.

From that position, he moved more ardently into podcasting where he won a Peabody Award for his work as creative director on The Pope’s Long Con.. Additionally, his podcast The Guestlist is syndicated internationally and features important names in music.

Recently, he has launched Nevermind Media, which aims to cover the intersection between music and podcasting. In 2019 through Kentucky to the World’s Republic Bank Foundation Speaker Series, he held a conversation with Finis KY White, where they talked about the celebrated sound mixer’s career creating certified-platinum hits.
