Hailing from the mountains of Eastern Kentucky, Tyler Childers has channeled his life experiences to inform his music production.

As a witness to an economically depressed region that has also seen disproportionately high rates of drug abuse, his bluegrass and country music explores themes of isolation and redemption. His success has enabled him to open for artists that include Willie Nelson, Jack White, John Prine, and Sturgill Simpson. The album art for his LP Country Squire was created by another Kentuckian: comic illustrator Tony Moore. His latest album Long Violent History will give 100% of its net profit to the Hickman Holler Appalachian Relief Fund.
