Growing up in Lexington, Kentucky, White had a clear vision of making a career in music. Even after he landed on audio engineering as his field of focus, the opportunity to attend college to sharpen his skill was never quite within his reach.

Still, his dream of a future in music never faltered. White moved to Atlanta twice before he could gain his footing. The first time he moved there, he discovered that the lifestyle was too fast and too expensive at that point. Determined to make his mark, he moved back to Kentucky.

After spending a year and a half back in the Commonwealth, where at some points he was forced to live out of his truck, he managed to find a steady stream of income and experience working in a movie theater running sound and video projections. After rebounding enough to give Atlanta another shot, he moved back to pursue his dreams one more time. Almost immediately, he began working with another friend from Lexington, and through this chance encounter, he scored his first break at Hot Beats Recording Studio.

In the decade that followed, White has created an unmatched portfolio beginning with his work on Lil Wayne’s legendary mixtape “No Ceilings.” He has garnered a reputation as a supportive and disciplined sound engineer who provides artists the support they need to put out their best work. As his career has developed, he’s redefined the role of the audio engineer. Where sound engineers in the past would only work in the studio, White has made the role more collaborative and interactive for artists.

He opened Bass Recording Studios in 2016 in Atlanta, GA, because of his success working with some of the industry’s top names, including Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Rihanna, and ASAP Rocky. He’s maintained his work with chart-topping talent and relentlessly inspired young entrepreneurs in the process.

White recently received a frame in the mail containing six Platinum certifications for his work on “Pretty Girls Like Trap Music” by 2 Chainz. The album went Platinum along with four Platinum singles and one Double Platinum single.
