MAGGIE HARLOW

October 24, 2018 – Maggie Harlow got inside the head of the man whose job it is to get inside yours in a conversation with Kentucky to the World special guest Chuck Brymer.

Maggie Harlow graduated from Indiana University with a BFA degree. Having grown up in the automotive business, it was a natural choice for her to go to work for her father at his Buick-Jaguar dealership.

After working for him for 13 years, where she started washing cars and worked her way to general manager, her family sold the business allowing her father to retire. Maggie briefly worked with the new owners but could not resist the call to start her own business.

Her business search led to Signarama where she, along with her husband, Brian, opened their location in Downtown Louisville in August 2003.  In 2005 they purchased a larger building to grow their business and also house tenants in Louisville’s Nulu area on East Market Street.

Maggie is active in the Louisville business community, having served as president of the Louisville chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners. In 2010 she was selected as a Louisville Connector through the Leadership Louisville Connector Project and a 2012 graduate of Leadership Louisville.  Signarama Downtown has been a finalist for both the Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Workplace Ethics and the Republic Bank “We Care” Award.  Maggie serves on the UofL Board of Overseers and is a proud member of Rotary.

Founding member of the Happy Birthday Park non-profit, she works diligently to see the dream of that park become a reality.

In 2007, Maggie and Brian established their Signs of Support program and have given nearly $250,000 in signage services and products to worthy charitable organizations in the area.

Maggie is married to her business partner, Brian Harlow, and they live in the Highlands and are busy raising two boys, now nearly grown men at 17 and 20.
